EarlyAct
EarlyAct™ is a student-wide, service-learning club sponsored by the Plainfield-North Plainfield Rotary. Students in grades 3 and 4 are welcome to join, and students in grades K, 1 and 2 are invited to team up with EarlyAct Club members for school-wide activities.
Under the direct supervision of Principal Cathy Kobylarz and teachers Kathy Landadio and Leanne Borbely, the students gather during indoor recess and other times throughout the year to work on service-learning initiatives.
The EarlyAct Club is self-supporting and carries out three service projects annually—one each for their school, local community, and one which furthers international understanding.
When students enter North Plainfield High School, they can join the InterAct Club where they can continue learning how to build goodwill in their communities and around the world.

If your child would like to participate in the EarlyAct™ Club at Stony Brook School, please send an email to Mrs. Landadio. Include your child's name and grade. Mrs. Landadio will meet with your child and assign him or her to a project team led by 3rd and 4th grade students. Your child is then welcome to gather with his or her peers on Wednesday mornings from 7:45 until 8:15 in the gymnasium to work on our current service-learning projects. This month's projects is Pennies for Polio - students are collecting coins to help Rotary International eradicate polio worldwide.
If you have any questions about the program, please contact Mrs. Landadio at (908) 769-6063 or email her at kathleen_landadio@nplainfield.org.
